Records 10 seconds on your server when a direct Blink motion notification arrives. No Blink storage subscription needed. The clip starts after the notification and camera connection.
Arms its system, enables motion, and turns off early clip termination. Other cameras keep their own motion settings. This setting does not create recording storage or unlock motion events.
Doorbell button
Front Door button presses appear in Activity and can send a phone notice. Front Door motion stays separate from Backyard recording.
Description notices open the associated Blink recording when available. Blink may supply the description after the initial event.

About your controls
Uses the unofficial Blinkpy connection. Live viewing and server recordings need Blink’s online service, but no paid recording storage. Start live view, then tap Start talking to use your microphone. Talking is experimental and turns off after 30 seconds or when you leave the page.
Camera setup, subscriptions, and account administration still use Blink’s tools. The direct receiver uses Blink’s Android push notifications to trigger server recording. It reconnects automatically; it is an unofficial integration and delivery depends on Blink and Google. Saved Blink clips are also checked as a fallback.
